Ona Landes, 93, of Crigler Lane, Franklin, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2002, in Harrisonburg Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Landes was born Dec. 13, 1908, in Riverton, a daughter of the late Rollie and Belva Thompson Bland.
She married Willie Lanes, who preceded her in death on March 19, 1998.
Surviving are five daughters, Betty McCoy, Harrisonburg, Va., Helen Skidmore and Roxie Hammer, both of Franklin, Mary Rose Newman and Carol June Evick, both of Harrisonburg, Va.; two sons, Charles R. Landes, Moorefield, and William Daniel Landes, Nashville; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nellie Rogers.
Mrs. Landes was a homemaker.
She was a member of Franklin Presbyterian Church.
Funeral Arrangements: Friends will be received at Basagic Funeral Home today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at Franklin Presbyterian Church Friday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Donald Wilkinson will officiate. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin. Memorial donations may be made to Franklin Presbyterian Church.
