Mark Phillip Bennett Sr., 42, of Norton, died at 2:37 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, in Davis Memorial Hospital. He had been in his usual health and death was attributed to cardiac arrest.
Mr. Bennett was born April 26, 1959, in Elkins, a son of the late Rommie Bennett, who survives in Beverly, and Phyllis Jean Blankenship Scott, who survives in Norton.
Also surviving are two sons, Mark Phillip Bennett Jr., and David Lee Bennett, both of Lewisburg; two daughters, Candice and Christina Bennett, both of Lewisburg; two half brothers, Matthew and Leslie; two half sisters, Sheila and Denise; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Marvin Eugene Scott.
Mr. Bennett attended the elementary schools of BelAir and Darlington, Md., and Coalton. He had been employed as a sawmill worker. He was a Catholic.
Funeral Arrangements: Friends will be received at Lohr-barb-vance Funeral Home today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Father William Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Saint Vincent Cemetery in Kingsville.
