Sylvia Mae Lambert Huffman, 85, of Franklin, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, at her home.
Mrs. Huffman was born June 15, 1916, in Smith Creek, a daughter of the late Lafayette Lambert and Sarah Elizabeth Bennett.
On Oct. 7, 1940, she married Earlie Albert Huffman, who survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Rettie Mae Waggy, Franklin, Sarah Fay Harper, Bridgewater, Va., Mildred Florence Jennings, Peterstown, and Rose Elva Adams, Wellsburg; two sons, Albert Wayne Huffman and Ralph Ora Huffman, both of Franklin; two sisters, Mildred Mitchell and Dessie Hedrick, both of Franklin; a brother, Byron Lambert, Bridgewater, Va.; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Roy Lee Huffman on March 3, 1979; a son, Earl Lafayette Huffman on March 3, 1979; two brothers, Jeffrey Lambert and A. Green Lambert; and a half sister, Mazie Vandevander.
Mrs. Huffman was a homemaker. She attended Franklin Presbyterian Church.
Funeral Arrangements: Friends will be received at Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Wednesday at 2 p.m. with Pastor James A. Phares and Elder Willard Huffman officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin. Memorial donations may be made to George Dice Scholarship Fund at Pendleton County High School.
