Vada V. Campbell, 82, of 602 Buckhannon Manor, Buckhannon, died Sunday, March 31, 2002, in Holbrook’s Nursing Home in Buckhannon.
Mrs. Campbell was born May 21, 1919, in Moorefield, a daughter of the late Jesse Elmer and Mary Susan Schell Miller.
She married Merl Wilbur Campbell, who preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 1982.
Surviving are two daughters, Judith A. Tenney and Becky Davis, both of Buckhannon; three sons, Robert Campbell, Morgantown, Carl W. Campbell and Stephen R. Campbell, both of Buckhannon; one brother, Thomas Miller, Moorefield; two sisters, Gladys Burgess, Keyser, and Elizabeth Simon, Moorefield; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond Schell, Ervin Miller and Walter Miller; two grandson, Marcus Allen Campbell and Patrick Tenney; and one granddaughter, Pamela Sue Campbell.
Mrs. Campbell was a nurses aide. She was a lifetime member of Buckhannon VFW Post 3663 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a foster grandparent and senior companion.
Friends will be received at Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home today from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Wednesday at 2 p.m. with Preacher Charles Morrison officiating. Interment will follow in Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon.
