David A. Ferrell, 45, a resident of Mill Creek, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning, March 13, 2002.
He was born Dec. 15, 1956, in Richwood, a son of Dorkes Reams Ferrell, who survives at Mill Creek, and the late Frank A. Ferrell.
Also surviving are two sisters, Helen E. Cosner, Russellville, Ky., and Brenda L. Daniels, Mill Creek; two nieces and four nephews.
Mr. Ferrell was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, an active member of Tygart Valley Post 3647 Veterans of Foreign Wars, where he was a volunteer driver of the Veterans Administration Van, and a participant in military funeral honors. He was a Methodist by faith and a former volunteer with the Randolph County Emergency Squad Valley Unit.
At the request of the deceased, his remains were cremated. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Mission Church at Mill Creek with the Rev. Frank Long officiating. Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements.
