Mark Stephen Keener, 43, of St. George, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2002, at his home in Leadmine.
He was born Oct. 21, 1958, in Charleston, a son of Raymond and Mary Agnes Dennie Keener Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Ida Brown Keener; two sons, Nicholas A. Keener and Tucker Stephen Keener, both of Winfield; one daughter, Katherine E. Keener, at home; three brothers, Raymond Keener III, Charleston, Timothy A. Keener, Las Vegas, Nev., and John F. Keener, Banner Elk, N.C.; and one sister, Katherine Lee Lazenby, Beckley.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Cynthia Ann Luzier.
Mr. Keener was a laborer for Dominion Power. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church of Charleston and a graduate of the University of Charleston.
Friends will be received at Hinkle Funeral Home in Davis today from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A vigil services will be today at 7 p.m. A mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Lino Ebejer as celebrant. Interment will follow in Shaffertown Cemetery in Leadmine.
