Isaac R. “Ike” Lewis, 70, of HC 78, Selbyville, Randolph County, died Thursday, April 4, 2002, at his home.
He was born July 28, 1931, in Randolph County, a son of the late George O. and Nora C. Mealey Lewis.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Zickefoose Lewis; one daughter, June Coffman and husband, Patrick; three brothers, Richard and wife, Katie Lewis, and John Lewis, both of Selbyville, and James and wife, Ruth Lewis of Buckhannon; and one sister, Sally Roby of Buckhannon.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Lewis and Edward Lewis; one sister, Lucy Lewis; and one infant sibling.
He was a veteran of the Korean War and retired from Corharts after 24 years of service. He was currently employed as caretaker of James Curry Library Park.
Friends will be received Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel. Mr. Lewis will lie in state from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m., the funeral hour, Sunday at Pleasant Dale United Methodist Church with the Rev. Conrad Tenney and the Rev. Don Dugas officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Dale Cemetery.
