Lester Leo Firl Jr., 54, of Hambleton, passed away April 26, 2002, at his residence. Death was attributed to cancer.
He was born Aug. 26, 1947, in Parsons, a son of Lucille Firl Arbogast of Davis, and the late Lester Leo Firl.
He is also survived by his wife Barbara Arnold Firl; one son, Adam J. Firl, attending Fairmont State College; three daughters, Stella L. Firl of Elkins, Jane Ann and husband, Dave Critchley, of Laurel, Md., and Vivetta Malie and husband, Steve Cain, of Grantsville; and one brother, Phil and wife, Carla Firl, of Montrose.
He was preceded in death by one half brother, Joe Drescher in 1999.
Mr. Firl was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was maintenance III employee of Kingsford Charcoal Co. He was a member of VFW Post 6735 of Mt. Storm.

Friends were received at Hinkle Funeral Home of Davis Saturday. Funeral services were held in the funeral home chapel Sunday with the Rev. Charlie Arnold officiating. Interment will follow in Davis Cemetery.
