Harold Z. DeBarr, 76, of 891 CR 485 A, Lake Panasoffkee, Fla., died Sunday, June 16, 2002, at his home in Panasoffkee, Fla.
He was born June 13, 1926, at Ten Mile, a son of the late Carl DeBar Sr. and Rose Hollen DeBarr.
Surviving are one brother, Carl DeBarr and wife, Sue, Ashtabula, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Hinkle, Glen Burnie, Md., Mrs. Lee (Kathleen) Baker, Lady Lake, Fla., Mrs. Charles (Dorothy) Sheet, and Mrs. Raymond (Helen) Hall, all of Buckhannon; one sister-in-law, Joan DeBarr, Glen Burnie, Md.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Lee DeBarr.
He retired as a security guard from a bank in Tampa, Fla. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of the Florida VFW and the Moose. He was a Methodist by faith.
Friends will be received at Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Saturday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Carus Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Ten Mile Baptist Cemetery in Ten Mile.
