Everett Leon Brown, 67, a resident of Mill Creek, passed away Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002, in Nella’s Nursing Home.
He was born Jan. 5, 1935, at Adolph, the son of Harold Brown of Mill Creek and the late Hallie Fincham Brown.
He is survived by three sons, Gregory Brown, Petersburg, Randall Brown, Newport News, Va., and Timothy Brown, Corpus Christi, Texas; three daughters, Jennifer Schott, Pennsylvania, Cheryl Harris, Norton and Cynthia Davis, Belington; three brothers, Douglas Brown and Dennis Brown, both of Silver Springs, Md., and Benjamin Brown, Relay, Md.; three sisters, Olive Bradshaw, Hampton, Va., Jean Harris, Buckhannon, and Pat Jenkins, Frederick, Md.; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Leonard.
Mr. Brown was employed as a truck driver hauling coal for many years prior to his retirement.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Tomblyn Funeral Home where funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday from the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Verl Simmons will officiate and interment will follow in the Fincham Chapel Cemetery near Adolph. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Starzl Institute, 3708 Fifth Ave., Pittsburgh, Pa., 15213, to aid in efforts of liver transplantation
