Viola Mae Kelley, 91, of Davis, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002, at Garret County Memorial Hospital in Oakland, Md.
She was born May 7, 1911, in Breedlove, Horse Shoe Run, a daughter of the late Alpha Lawrence and Bertha May Knotts Slaubaugh.
Survivors include, one daughter, Melvina Warren of Davis; one brother, Joseph Slaughbaugh of Lodi, Ohio; four sisters, Elva Calcamp of Cuppett-weeks Nursing Home in Oakland, Md., Julia Scott and Bessie Sell, both of Horse Shoe Run, and Shirley Lanting of Aieu, Hawaii; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Kelley in 1991; one son, eight brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Kelley was a housewife. She was Past President Ladies Auxiliary FOE No. 936, Past Noble Grand Rebekah Lodge No. 274 and Past President Blackwater Civic Association.
Friends will be received at Hinkle Funeral Home in Davis Friday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Hinkle Funeral Chapel Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jeff Winter officiating. Interment will follow in the Davis Cemetery.
