Pauletta Kay Bright Canfield, 40, a former resident of Tucker County, and a resident of Elkins, departed this life Monday morning, Sept. 9, 2002, at her home. She had been in her usual health and death was unexpected.
She was born June 16, 1962, at Parsons, a daughter of the late Harold G. “Squeek” Bright, who preceded her in death on Aug. 21, 2001, and Nettie G. Loughry Bright, who survives at Pheasant Run.
On May 14, 1994, she was married to Junior Clyde Canfield, who survives.
Also surviving are four brothers, James Patrick Bright and wife, Vickie, Pifer Mountain, Michael L. Bright, Mark A. Bright, and her twin brother, Paul K. Bright, all of Pheasant Run; her stepmother-in-law, Rosie Canfield, Moore; three brothers-in-law, Elmer Canfield, Donnie and Ronnie Canfield, Parsons; three sisters-in-law, Gail Quibb and husband, Doug, Morgantown, Kathy Connell and husband, John, Moore, and Mary Canfield, Oklahoma; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
She was a graduate of Parsons High School with the class of 1981. She was a member of the Irons Chapel Church at Pheasant Run. She loved painting, puzzles and animals.
The family will receive friends at the Barb & Greenlief Funeral Home Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor Friday at 1 p.m. Pastor Pat Cassidy will officiate and interment will follow at the Parsons Family Cemetery at Shavers Fork.
