Charles J. Lott, 54, a resident of 274 Country Club Road, Elkins, passed away unexpectedly at 11:55 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, at his residence of an apparent heart attack.
He was born June 5, 1948, at Athens, Ohio, a son of Marie Kathern Lott Streets, who survives at Philippi.
He was united in marriage May 20, 1970, to the former Lulu Belle Armstrong, who survives.
In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, John David Lott, Tacy community, Philippi, and Charles William and wife, Nora Lott, Elkins; and two grandchildren, Dennis and Cynthia Lott.
He was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Joshua Brady Lott.
He was a fork lift operator for Kingsford Charcoal Plant at Parsons with 32 years service. He was a Vietnam veteran serving with the U.S. Army. He was a member of Laurel Mountain VFW Post 410 of Belington. He was a United Methodist by faith.
Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home, 216 N. Walnut St., Philippi, after 7:30 p.m. today. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Gary Freeman officiating. Interment will follow in the Cross Roads Cemetery at Tacy with Laurel Mountain VFW Post 410 conducting military rites.
