Claude C. “Tab” Farrar, 88, of Route 3, Box 376, Buckhannon, died Monday, Oct. 21, 2002, at his home in Buckhannon.
He was born March 6, 1914, in Goshen, a son of the late Charles B. and Sadie Long Farrar.
On June 19, 1954, he married Audra G. Boggs Farrar, who survives in Buckhannon.
Also surviving are one son, Rusty C. Farrar, Buckhannon; one daughter, Rhonda Wise and husband, Ken, Waldorf, Md.; two brothers, Willard Farrar, Palace Valley, and Herbert Farrar, Freedom, Pa.; two sisters, Josephine Morgan, Buckhannon, and Odice Depoy, Geneva, Ohio; one grandson, Kenny Wise, Waldorf, Md.; three granddaughters, Kimberly Wise and Tracie Wise, both of Waldorf, Md., and Shonda Farrar, Buckhannon; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Loris Farrar, Roy Farrar, Troy Farrar and Coy Farrar; one sister, Iris Snyder; and one granddaughter, Kristina Wise.
He was a steel worker at A.M. Byers Co. He was a Methodist by faith.
Friends will be received at Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home today from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. William C. Eskew Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon.
