Mary Olive Grace Cook, 89, of Cleveland, Ga., formerly of Cass, passed away Friday, Nov. 8, 2002, at Gateway Nursing Home in Cleveland, Ga.
Mrs. Cook was born March 20, 1913, at Cass, a daughter of the late Strickler and Bessie Ann Cassell McLaughlin.
She was a resident of Gateway Nursing Home in Cleveland, Ga., and was formerly of Cass. She was a member of Green Bank Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luke Cecil Cook on May 5, 1962; a son, Harry Leonard McLaughlin; a sister, Annie Varner; and two brothers, Ira and Harmon McLaughlin.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Ellen Prater of Clermont, Ga., and Estelle McLaughlin of Lancaster, Pa.; three sons, Larry Cook of Clermont, Ga., Monroe Cook and Roger Cook, both of Fredericksburg, Va.; one brother, Norman McLaughlin of Pinehurst, N.C.; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at Green Bank Church of God Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Toney Samons officiating. Interment will follow in Wanless Cemetery at Cass. Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home of Arbovale is in charge of the arrangements.
