Betty J. Garrison Brock, 77, a resident of Route 1, Elkins, departed this life early Thursday morning, Nov. 14, 2002, at Davis Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born Tuesday, May 5, 1925, at Deerfield, Ohio, a daughter of the late Glenn W. Garrison and Eleanor Gertrude Viskochil Garrison.
She was formerly married three times. First, during 1945, to Jonas Arthur Harman. Second, during 1967, to Lenza “Bud” Winfield Harman. Third, during 1970, to Larry Brock.
Surviving are one son, Donald Asa Harman, St. Clairsville, Ohio; three daughters, Ruth Ayers, Elkins, Nancy Sparks and fiance, Herbert Cordelle, Youngstown, Ohio, and Patricia Teter, Elkins; one stepsister, Geraldine Stine, Niles, Ohio; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert G. Garrison, one stepsister, Dorothy Moff, and two grandchildren.
She attended the schools of Atwater, Ohio, and was a self-employed registered upholsterer, retiring in 1992. She was a member of the First Church of Christ.
Friends will be received at Lohr & Barb Funeral Home from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, the funeral hour. Evangelist Gary L. Kendall will officiate and cremation will follow.
