Alice Mae Campbell Defibaugh, 90, a resident of Hillview Personal Care Home, Claysville, Pa., formerly of Belington, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, in the Washington Hospital, Washington, Pa.
She was born Oct. 15, 1912, in Doddridge or Ritchie County, a daughter of the late Mary Elizabeth (Wilcox) Wyant Stout and the late Mr. Wyant.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Hubert Dale Campbell and by her second husband, Dexter Defibaugh.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Bradford Dewayne “Bud” Campbell and Clifford Dale Campbell; and by two grandsons, John Daniel Campbell and Willard Dewayne Campbell.
Surviving are four grandchildren, Richard Dale Campbell, Morgantown, Kimberly McDonald, Aurora, Ill., Pamela Chandler, Beverly, and Tamela “Toad” Campbell, Volga; one daughter-in-law, Shirley Campbell, Belington; former daughter-in-law, Vaughn Welch, St. Albans; eight great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Defibaugh had owned and operated several restaurants and taverns.
At the request of the deceased, her body was cremated. Memorial services will be held at a later date and her ashes will be interred in the Belington Fraternal Cemetery. The Schoonover-stemple Funeral Chapel was entrusted with arrangements.
