Ronald Thomas Sinkule, age 69 years, a resident of Elkins, the Glenmore Community, passed away Monday evening, August 17, 2020 in the Davis Medical Center Emergency Department. He had been in failing health but his death was unexpected. He was born December 8, 1950 in Uniontown, PA a son of the late Thomas Theodore and Doris Jean Lowe Sinkule. On August 14, 1976 at Saint Brendan Church in Elkins, he married Judith Louise Glenn who survives in Elkins. Also surviving is one son, John Thomas Sinkule of Bethel Park, PA; one daughter, Jennifer Ann Mossgrove (John) of Reston, VA. One sister, Karen Leigh Sinkule of Chevy Chase, MD and three grandsons, Jackson John Mossgrove, Cooper Thomas Mossgrove and Finnegan Owen Mossgrove also survive. Mr. Sinkule attended the schools of Uniontown, PA and moved to Elkins to attend Davis & Elkins College receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Business Administration. He was a store manager at Rite Aid Corporation and retired as a payroll accountant for Youth Health Services. Mr. Sinkule enjoyed antiquing and collecting old toys, especially trains. He was the most loving husband, father, and grandfather, always thinking of others before himself. Friends may call from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm Monday, August 24, 2020 at Saint Brendan Catholic Church. The Funeral Liturgy will be recited at 12:00 pm Monday by Rev. James E. O’Connor. Interment will follow in Saint Brendan Cemetery. As we continue to follow the mandate of Gov. Jim Justice and the guidelines established by the Center for Disease Control, masks and social distancing will be required for anyone attending the services for Mr. Sinkule.
