Steven Michael “Mike” Lomp, 37 , of Mill Creek, WV entered into eternal rest Wednesday February 10, 2010. He was born Friday June 9, 1972 in Elkins, WV, the son of Steven Phillip and Helen Vandevender Lomp. After serving a four year enlistment with the US Navy and living in Arkansas for a while Mike returned home to WV about six years ago. Mike enjoyed fishing and squirrel hunting with his father. He loved spending time on his computer. He was employed as a correction officer with the Huttonsville Correctional Center in Huttonsville, WV. Mike will be sadly missed by his parents: Steven and Helen Lomp of Mill Creek, WV; son: Seth Lomp of OK; sister: Schyima Hensel and husband Richard of Omaha, NE; two aunts: Donna Vandevender and husband David of Bartow, WV and Laura Kneib and husband Jay of Bremerton, WA; three uncles: Kile Lambert and Harlan Lambert both of Mill Creek, WV and Virgil Lambert of Dailey, WV and several cousins. At Mike’s request he will be cremated.
