Betty Ann Helmick Fansler, 81, a resident of Thomas, entered into eternal rest on Friday evening, July 30, 2010 at the Cortland Acres Nursing Home at Thomas. She was born on Friday, September 7, 1928 at Davis, a daughter of the late Ward Moats and Dolly Harper. She was married to Grover Cleveland Fansler, Jr. who preceded her in death during June of 1978. She was a graduate of Thomas High School, had attended beauty school at Frostburg, MD, had worked as a waitress, was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and was a member of the Thomas United Methodist Church. Left to cherish Betty’s memory is her son, Todd Fansler of Thomas. At Betty’s request, her body was cremated. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
