Preston Arthur “Artie” Fincham, 49, a resident of Valley Head entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 10, 2010 while camping near Valley Head. He was born on Thursday, October 27, 1960 at Elkins, a son of Shirley Benjamin Fincham, Valley Head, and the late Georgia Arranna “Annie” Taylor Fincham. He had never married. Preceding him in death were two sisters; Rhonda Jo Bunnell and Rita Kay Fincham. Left to cherish Artie’s memory are seven sisters; Shirley Lanham and husband, Robert of Huttonsville, Sharon Metheny and husband, Jim of French Creek, Karen Fincham of Valley Head, Faye Jack and husband, Clark “Buzz” of Beverly, Brenda Fincham and companion, Jimmy Pritt of Mill Creek, Jenny Fincham and companion, Dennis Henthorne of Mill Creek, and Tammy Currence and husband, Buckey of Dailey, two brothers; Steve Fincham and wife, Debbie and Jeff Fincham and companion, Cheryl Gum, all of Valley Bend, and several nieces and nephews. He attended the schools of Randolph County and had worked as a handy man. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping. He was always helping friends and neighbors and did all he could to help out his parents with whatever they needed. Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 100 Meadow Lane, Valley Bend, WV 26293, on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 from 11AM to 1PM, at which time a service to honor Artie’s life will be conducted.
