Charlie Allen Rexrode, 69, of Durbin, WV entered into eternal rest early Sunday June 27, 2010 at home surrounded by family. He was born Saturday May 10, 1941 in Arborvale, WV, a son of the late Charlie W. and JoAnna Washburn Rexrode. He attended the schools of Pocahontas County. He had been employed as a coal miner and a heavy equipment operator. He worked with Bennett Logging and Interstate Hardwoods in Bartow. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved woodworking and making things for his family.Chalrie loved his grandchildren more than anything. Charlie was a veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. On Friday May 15, 1970 in Monterey, VA he married the former Sheila Bennett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Johnny Rexrode and Bill Rexrode and two sisters: Anna Mae Woods and Goldie “Lovie” Daniels. Left to cherish Charlie’s memories are his wife: Sheila Bennett Rexrode of Durbin; daughters and sons-in-law: Travis and Allison Rexrode Taylor of Durbin and Joe and Tara Rexrode Angelone of Woodbridge, VA; one grandson: Travis Allen Taylor of Durbin ;one granddaughter: Kelsi Allison Taylor of Durbin; two brothers: Frank Rexrode of Durbin and Gene Rexrode and wife Nancy of Greenbank, WV; two sisters: Leona Daniels of Durbin and Jackie Hudak of Aldie, VA.
