Joan M. Lane, age 82, of Clinton, MD died Sunday, January 10, 2010 at the Southern Maryland Hospital in Clinton. She was born February 16, 1927 in Erie, WV a daughter of the late Russell and Luceil Jones Quickle. On March 08, 1943 she married Stephen E. Lane who preceded her in death on November 22, 1994. Mrs. Lane is survived by one son Stephen M. Lane and wife Patricia of Clinton; one grandson, Robert Lane and wife J’Nell of Norman, OK; one great granddaughter, Ryleah Lane of Norman; one Nephew Anthony Herbin and wife Sydnea of Springfield, MA; one great nephew London Herbin of Springfield. Mrs. Lane was the former owner and operator of Lane’s TV and Appliance Center of Keyser, WV and a member of the Adrian United Methodist Church. Friends will be received 4-8 PM on Friday, January 15, 2010 at the Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the funeral home with Dr. Joseph M. Shreve officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Hinkleville, WV. Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
