Geneva G Thayer 1921-2010 Obituary
Geneva G. Thayer, age 88, of Clarksburg, WV died Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Heartland of Clarksburg. She was born December 11, 1921 in Bolayer, WV, a daughter of the late Russell S. and Mable M. Bean Brown. On June 17, 1937 she married Hoy L. Thayer who preceded her in death on March 25, 2003. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sisters. She is survived by two sons, Berlin L. “Bud” Thayer and Jeffrey C. Thayer both of Clarksburg; one daughter, Yvonne M. Lawson of Geneva, OH; seven grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Mrs. Thayer was a homemaker and a member of the East View United Methodist Church. Friends will be received Sunday, January 24, 2010 from 4-8 PM at the Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Etheldean Yanero officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Church Cemetery at Ellamore, WV. Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
