MARVIN JUNIOR “JUNE” BOHON, age 61 years, a resident of St. George, WV departed this life Thursday afternoon, January 14, 2010 at the United Hospital Center at Clarksburg. Death was due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born Thursday, September 9, 1948 at Hendricks, WV, a son of the late Paul and Mable Rebecca Moyers Bohon, who preceded him in death and the grandson of the late Cam and Martha Leona Snyder Huffman, who preceded him in death. He was twice married. First on Sept. 2, 1967 at St. George, WV, he was married to the former Susie Lea Barr, who preceded him in death Nov. 9, 1989. On July 20, 1990 at Oakland, Md he was married to the former Wanda Marlene Knotts, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Paul Junior “Spoon” Bohon, Jr. and Marvin Lee Bohon and wife Sandra, all of St. George; one daughter, Lora Ann Bohon of Parsons; two stepsons, Denver Ray Nestor and Marvin Chad Nestor, both of St. George; one brother, Danny R. Johnson, Sr. and wife Beatrice of St. George; four sisters, Katherine Marie Gatto of Thomas, Martha R. Lipscomb and Alma Fulton and husband Robert, all of Hendricks, Mable Agnes Fulton of Elkins; five grandchildren, Angela, Joey, Hunter, Heather and Mara and several nieces and nephews.
He attended the Hamrick School at Hendricks. He was an employee of the former Parsons Tannery until its closing. He was a former employee of Kingsford Charcoal Co., and the Hinchcliff Lumber Co. for thirty one years. He was an antique enthusiast, collecting clocks and radios.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Monday from 4 to 8 PM. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor Tuesday, January 19th, 2010 at 11:30AM. Pastor Carolyn Shreve will officiate and interment will follow at the St. George Cemetery at St. George.
