MARY LOUISE STEWART MALLOW, age 84 years, a resident of Elkins, WV departed this life late Friday evening, February 5, 2010 at the Talbott Personal Care Home at Belington, WV.
She was born Monday, September 7, 1925 at Mill Creek, WV a daughter of the late Emery O. Stewart and Beulah Shreves Stewart. On August 10, 1946 at Oakland, MD, she was married to Willie John Mallow who preceded her in death on March 1, 1996.
Surviving are two sons, William “John” Mallow, Huttonsville and Richard A. “Rick” Mallow, Elkins, one daughter, Sue Mallow, Elkins, one brother, Charles Stewart, Beverly; two sisters, Patty Swecker, Kingwood; Carolyn Stewart, Elkins; three grandchildren, Elizabeth S. “Beth” Mallow, Christopher A. Mallow, and Patrick A. Thompson and one great grandson, Elliott C. Arbogast.
Preceding her in death are two brothers, Junior and Bud Stewart; and two sisters, Ruth Corley and Mildred Triplett.
She attended the schools of Randolph County, was an employee of the former Wallace Bakery, was an avid reader and a homemaker.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 4 to 7 PM Tuesday. Final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 1 PM. The Reverend Doctor Basil A. Hensley will officiate and interment will follow at Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman, WV.
