CAROLINE DAE OSBORNE HOWELL ISNER, age 64 years, a resident of Elkins, WV departed this life Tuesday evening, February 16, 2010 at her home.
She was born Sunday, January 13, 1946 at Giles County, VA a daughter of the late Terry Thomas Osborne and Minnie Grace Williams Osborne. She was twice married. First to Bernard Dale Howell. Second on June 27, 1978 she was married to Daniel Clay Isner, who preceded her in death December 10, 1998. Surviving are one son, Donald Lee Howell and wife Angel, Volga; one daughter, Carlyle “Carla” Poling and husband Richard, Belington; one sister, Billie Marie Belcher, Elkins; and four grandchildren, Terry Allen Pritt, Cravensdale; Marshall Lee Poling, Belington; Seneca Dawn Howell and Charnai Lynn Howell, both of Volga.
Preceding her in death are three brothers, Luther, Paul and Don Osborne and one sister, Drema Mastin.
She attended the schools of Virginia and Randolph County, was a caretaker and dispatcher for the area Cab companies of Elkins. She was a member of the Harmony Worship Center at Elkins and was affectionately known as “Box-car”.
A private graveside service will be held at the Rowan Memorial Cemetery at Mabie, WV with the Rev. Larry Poling officiating. Interment will follow.
