PAUL JUNIOR “SPOON” BOHON, age 42 years, a resident of St. George, WV, departed this life Monday, July 19, 2010 at his home, following a brief illness.
He was born Sunday, March 10, 1968 at Parsons, WV, a son of the late Marvin Junior “June” Bohon and Susie Lea Barr. He is survived by his stepmother, the former Wanda Marlene Knotts.
Also surviving are one brother, Marvin Lee Bohon and wife Sandra of St. George; one sister, Lora Ann Bohon of Parsons; two stepbrothers, Denver Ray Nestor and Marvin Chad Nestor, both of St. George; and five nieces and nephews, Angela Bohon, Joey Howell, Hunter Bohon, Heather Howell and Mara Howell.
He was a graduate of Tucker County High School with the Class of 1988. He was a former employee of Capitol Drilling of Manassas, VA., Ideal Construction and Bolyard Construction, both of Parsons. At the time of his death he was an employee of Poor Boy Construction of Parsons. His passion was dry walling. He enjoyed mud races, was a nascar fan and active in the community and was instrumental in developing the St. George Park at St. George. He was an avid outdoorsman.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Saturday, July 24, 2010 from 11 until 1 PM. The casket will remain closed. On Saturday, “Spoon” will be moved to the St. George Cemetery where graveside services will be conducted at 2 PM. Pastor Carolyn Shreve will officiate and interment will follow.
