DORLA GAE SIMMONS DIGMAN, age 79 years, a resident of Parsons, WV departed this life early Tuesday morning, August 24, 2010 at the Cortland Acres Nursing Home at Thomas.
She was born Saturday, October 11, 1930 at Parsons, WV, a daughter of the late Gilbert and Sylvia Poling Simmons. She was married to Gerald Digman, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are one granddaughter, Tara Cantrell and husband Greg; three great grandchildren, Matthew David, Isaiah and Jeremiah, all of Parsons.
She is the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded in death by one son Jerry Digman, one brother, Garland Eugene “Sing” Simmons and two infant brothers; and one sister Rosalie Comegna.
She attended the schools at Parsons, WV. She was a former manager of a Diner at Baltimore, MD., and she was a homemaker. She was an avid lover of Elvis and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Digman’s request for no visitation and funeral service was honored.
