LORA JEAN MAYLE Lora Jean Mayle, 49, of Rt. #1, Philippi, died Friday, January 29, at her home, following an extended illness. She was born August 6, 1960, at Philippi, a daughter of the late Howard Hayward and Mary Edna (Croston) Collins. On December 31, 1983, she was married to John Edward Mayle, who survives at Rt. #1, Philippi. Also surviving are three sisters, Sheila Collins and Marie “Reann” Mayle, both of Philippi, Genevieve Irene Bhaskarla and husband, Mani, Hagerstown, MD; one brother, Jeff Collins and wife, Gayle, Philippi; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jeremy Scott Mayle; by an infant brother, Terry Lee Collins; by her maternal grandparents, Joseph and Maybell Croston and her paternal grandparents, Luther and Blanche Collins. Mrs. Mayle was a homemaker and care giver. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, riding motorcycles and shopping. She attended the Peoples Chapel Church and the Midway Apostolic Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, February 1, from the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, 385 So. Main Street, Philippi. The Rev. Ruston Seaman and the Rev. George Cross will officiate and interment will follow in the Welch Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Sunday and from 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M., the funeral hour, on Monday.
