Roger A. Tomey, 49, of Buckhannon departed this life on August 11, 2011 at his home. He was born June 7, 1962 in Buckhannon. Roger wore many hats while employed at West Virginia Split Rail and Mountaineer Marts and viewed everyone as a special friend, not just a fellow employee. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors with his family and many friends. He never knew a stranger and was always the first to lend a hand. Roger was the son of the late Gladys Tomey and his chosen parents: Arden and Bobbie Norman of Cleveland, WV. He is survived by his loving wife, Scotti Tomey and sons: Jason, Justin and Hobie Brown; his five little angels: Breanna, Ariah, Madison, Jaiden, and Chloe; his dearest little buddies: Zane & Alijah. (His children and grandchildren hold a special spot in his heart); his brothers and sisters: Mary & Bob Eubank, James & Bert Tomey; Fred & Judy Tomey; Robert & Lea Anne Tomey; Paul & Darlene Tomey; Arnold & Brandi Tomey of Buckhannon, WV ; Barbara & Dave Miller of Gassaway, WV; Arlena & Ken Turner of Florida; Dana & Richard Marcum and Ilene & Bobby McCaman of Ohio ; His half-brothers: Stan & Frank White; His extended family of Alan & Terri Norman, Jill & Tim Woody; Lincoln & Johnna Norman, Chuck & Donna Norman; Jeff & Faydra Norman; several special nieces and nephews and a long life best friend and employer, Jim Hinkle of Buckhannon. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him! Friends will be received Sunday, August 14, 2011 from 4-8 PM at the Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be held 11 AM on Monday at French Creek Memorial Gardens in French Creek with the Rev. George Jenkins officiating.
