Virginia Marishah Channell 1936-2010 Obituary
Virginia Marishah Channell, 75, of Valley Head, WV entered into eternal rest early afternoon Wednesday April 27, 2011 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV surrounded by family. She was born Sunday March 1,1936 in Monterville, WV, a daughter of the late Clarence and Alberta Jameson Sterling. She was a lifelong resident of Randolph County, WV. She attended the schools of Randolph County, WV. She was a homemaker who enjoyed crafting, knitting, crocheting and gardening. She loved to be with her children and grandchildren very much. She was of the Methodist faith. On Friday October 31, 1958 in Oakland, MD she married the love of her life Troy H. Channell who preceded her in death on Thursday March 5,1998. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister: Florence “Tootie” Stewart and one brother: Clarence “Bucky” Sterling. Left to cherish her memory are one son: Russell “Rusty” Anello and wife Angie of Beverly, WV; two daughters: Michelle Anello Sharp and husband Kevin of Valley Head, WV and Windy Anello Lamoreaux and husband Louis, Jr. of Grottoes, VA; eight grandchildren: Danielle Bennett of Huttonsville, WV, Nicholaus Anello of East Dailey, WV, Whitney and Tara Sharp both of Valley Head, WV, Beau and Trevor Lamoreaux of Grottoes, VA, Toby Helmick of Beverly, WV and Jennifer Young of Mill Creek, WV; 4 Great-grandchildren; two sisters: Elizabeth “Betty” Waggy of Baltimore, MD and Helen Sparks and husband Jake of Beverly, WV and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until 1 :00 p.m. on Saturday April 30, 2011 at The Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday April 30, 2011 at the funeral home chapel with The Reverend Verl L. Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Simmons Cemetery at Valley Head, WV.
