Rosalie Miller, 67, of Coalton passed away on Friday, May 6, 2011 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Born on Thursday, March 23, 1944 in Jimtown, a daughter of the late Fred Woodford Elmore and Gladys Mae Cutright Elmore. On August 14, 1965, she was united in marriage to Howard Lee Miller who survives at Coalton. Surviving is one son, Howard Joseph Miller and wife, Jackie of Coalton, and one daughter, Christina Mae Osborn and husband, Kelly of New Market, VA, and three grandchildren, Kaitlyn Danielle Miller, Taylor Marie Miller, and Logan Hunter Miller. Also surviving is one brother, Carl David Elmore and wife, Carolyn of Jimtown, three sisters, Katie Howes and husband, Alfred of Kingsville, Jeanie Merritt of Beverly, and Joy Bender and husband, Tom of Kingsville, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are five brothers: Harley Elmore, Bill Elmore, John Elmore, Ray Elmore, Robert Neal Elmore, and four sisters: Loraine Wolfe, Loretta Phillips, Shirley Bodkin, and Willa Mae “Shorty” Bibey. Rosalie was a graduate of Coalton High School with the class of 1962. She had worked at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center / Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Washington D.C., the Memorial General Hospital and Family Health Service, as a postmaster in the town of Mabie, where she resided for many years, and as a homemaker. She was a cherished wife, a wonderful mother, sister, and loving friend and will be sadly missed. She attended the local congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Elkins At Rosalie’s request, her body was cremated. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 2PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on 219 South in Elkins. Minister John Mueller will officiate. All family and friends are warmly invited to attend.
