Dorothy D. “Monk” Stalnaker, 87, a resident of Mill Creek, went home to be with Rusty and Red on July 15, 2011 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. She was born March 13, 1924, a daughter of the late M.C. Williams and Ina Mae Tenney Williams. She had celebrated 67 years with the love of her life Charles “Red” Stalnaker who proceeded her in death in November of 2004. She was a homemaker who worked and owned a dairy farm. She loved working on the farm, gardening and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was Pentecostal by faith. Left to cherish Dorothy’s memories are five children, Charley Stalnaker and wife Linda of Elkins, Edna Mae Tacy and husband Bob of Huttonsville, Bobbi Stalnaker of Mill Creek, Debbie Smith and husband Paul of Mill Creek,Carla Riegel and husband Mark of Mill Creek, six special grandchildren, Tina and Robert Tacy II, Paul III and wife Johanna, Karrah and Jonathon Riegel, Blake Stalnaker, three great grandchildren, Keith Holsberry, Claire and Jacob Smith, and one daughter in law Missy Stalnaker of Lewisburg. She was proceeded in death by one daughter, Teresa Lynn Stalnaker, one son, Carlton “Rusty” Stalnaker and one foster son, Don Yost. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Monday at The Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Valley Bend. Funeral Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 19 at 11 AM. The Reverend Marshall Williams will officiate and interment will follow at the Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman.
