Bessie Lou Ramsey, 88, a resident of Nella’s Nursing Home in Crystal Springs since 2002 entered into eternal rest on late evening Wednesday February 23, 2011. She was born Tuesday August 22, 1922 in Valley Bend, WV, a daughter of the late Perry and Anna Oxley Watson. She attended the schools of Randolph County. Bessie was a homemaker who loved being with her family, especially the grandchildren. She enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. She was of the Protestant faith and attended the Cathedral Deliverance Church in Elkins for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: John Ramsey; two daughters: Carolyn and Ora Marie Ramsey; six sons: Vernon, Richard, Donnie, Robert, Jimmy and Jerry Ramsey; four sisters: Ora Griffith, Marjorie Delaughter, Eunice Raines and Grace Shifflet; seven brothers: Ron, Don, Arnold, William, Richard, Lewis and Everett Watson. Left to cherish her memories are five daughters: Sylvia Harris of Montrose, WV, Betty Isenhart and Dessie Wilson both of Elkins, WV, Bessie Scott of Dailey, WV and Karen Sue Zambelli of Beverly, WV; one son: Delbert Leary address unknown, one brother: Charlie Watson of Valley Bend, WV; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitaion will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Friday March 11, 2011 at Full Bible Church located at 29 Thorn Avenue in Elkins,WV. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm at the church with Pastor Delmas Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Cemetery on the Georgetown Road in Beverly,WV.
