Dorothy Gray Collins, 93, a resident of Elkins where she had made her home with her great niece, Glenda Kay Helmick, passed from this life early Wednesday morning, May 18, 2011 at her home. She had been in declining health. She born Monday, February 11, 1918 at Mill Creek, a daughter of the late John Collins and Rosie Walker Collins. She was married to Willy Collins who preceded her in death and is the last surviving member of her immediate family which included seventeen siblings. Left to cherish her memory are many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She attended the schools of Randolph County and had worked form many years with the Philip Morris Tobacco Company. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2011 from 12 noon until 1PM, the funeral hour. Reverend Denzil Arbogast and Robert Corder will officiate. At Dorothy’s request, her body will be cremated.
