Willard Eugene Weese 1942-2011 Obituary
Willard Eugene Weese, age 69, a resident of Beverly, WV, passed from this life Thursday, November 10, 2011, in the Davis Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Weese was born in Beverly, WV, June 24, 1942, the son of the late Roy E. Weese and Hulda Cogar Weese.
On September 16, 1967 in Monterey, Va, Willard married Mildred Marie Ramsey.
The couple has four daughters, Cathy Bright and husband James, Fairmont, WV, Ellen Yoakum and husband Danny, Beverly, WV, Tammy Arbogast and husband Gary Lee, Valley Bend, WV, and Cindy Phillips and husband James, Beverly, WV. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Amber Dawn Welch, Michael Casey Welch, Samantha Marie Cook, Ashley Lee Arbogast, Daniel Joseph Yoakum and wife, Samantha, Dwight Eugene Yoakum, Jessica Marie Yoakum, Hannah Marie Phillips, and two great grandchildren, Alisa Danielle Yoakum and Madison Brooke Yoakum. Mr. Weese is survived by three sisters, Arlene White and companion Ted Clayton, Elkins, Barbara Carr and companion Bobby Lloyd, Elkins, Georgie Waybright and husband Kenny, Beverly, and one brother, Ed Weese, Beverly. Twelve nieces and nephews and many cousins survive.
One sister, Helen Thomas, is deceased.
Mr. Weese was a skilled carpenter, and gave many hours of his own helping build the Tygart Valley Baptist Church.
He had worked for various companies in Randolph County, including the Elkins Lumber Company, John Roth Construction, Bill Noonan Construction of Beverly, the Huttonsville Correction facility farm commission, Schoonover Logging, Yeager Logging, and Danny Wyant Masonry before becoming disabled in 2002.
Mr. Weese loved his children and grandchildren, and he spent as much time with them as he could.
He loved feeding the squirrels and deer, camping, hunting, gardening, farming and tinkering in the shed.
Mr. Weese had many friends throughout the community and never met a stranger.
All were welcome in his home. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 14, 2011 from 3 until 6 PM, the funeral hour.
Pastor Mike House and Pastor Leon Brown will officiate and Mr. Weese’s request for cremation will then be honored.
Interment of his cremains will follow at a later date at Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
