Eldridge Eddison Scott I, 71, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life peacefully, although unexpectedly, Saturday morning, October 22, 2011 at his home. He was born Thursday, September 5, 1940 at Cass, a son of the late Leland O. Scott and Ruby P. McCauley Scott. On September 9, 1968, he was united in marriage to the former Willa L. Watson, who survives. They had celebrated forty-three years of marriage. Other left to cherish his memory are four sons, Jason Scott and wife, Ashley of Elkins, Keith Scott and wife, Amanda of Elkins, Eric Scott of Elkins, and Eldridge E. Scott II and wife, Debbie of Belington, one daughter, Tonia Scott and companion, John McKall of Glen Burnie, MD, eleven grandchildren, Dustin and Trenton Scott of Elkins, Amber, Brent, Paige, and Tristen Scott of Belington, Jo’nesse McKall, Justin Foreman, John McKall II, Tiarra Estep, and Riley Creek all of Glen Burnie, MD. Preceding Eldridge in death besides his parents were four brothers, Roger, Paul, Johnny, and Charles Scott. Eldridge attended the schools of Randolph County and had worked as a logger for many years until retiring in 1996 for health reasons. He will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew him. Eldridge’s request for cremation was honored.
