Delores Aleatha Fisher Church of Beverly passed away on May 11, 2011. She was born in Elkins, WV April 12, 1923, daughter of the late Stella Gibson Fisher and Wade Hampton Fisher. A 1941 graduate of Elkins High School, Delores was married to Willard Thomas Church, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Church is survived by her seven children: Andy Piercy of Alcoa, TN, Willard Church of Beverly, Joyce Church of Elkins, Candy Church and husband Ken Miller of Des Plaines IL, Ann Church of Beverly, Gerald Church of Beverly, and Wade Church of Belington. Also surviving are three grandsons Adam Miller of South Korea, Michael Piercy of Alcoa TN, and Joshua, wife Emily and great-granddaughter Whitley Piercy of Alcoa TN.
Also preceding her in death were her siblings: two sisters, Avis Kepner and Mary Monahan, and two brothers, Rocky Fisher and Carlos Fisher.
Services and interment for the immediate family at Hazelwood Cemetery are under the direction of the Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins. Those wishing to express condolences are invited to join the family from 5:00pm to 8:00pm Saturday May 14, 2011 at the family home on Files Creek Road.
