Myrna Jo Cowgar, age 62, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, April 17, 2011 at her home under People’s Hospice of Clarksburg, WV. She was born in Clarksburg, WV, a daughter of the late Joseph Albert and Elanor Dodd Himes. On May 3, 1969 she married Gary C. Cowgar who survives. Also surviving is her stepmother, Patricia Snider Himes of West Milford, WV; one son, Gary Lynn Cowgar of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Aliyah Cowgar of Ortonville, MI and two grandsons, Logan Cowgar of Ortonville and Justin Cowgar of Steubenville, OH. Mrs. Cowgar was a beautician and secretary. She was a member of the Sycamore United Methodist Church and attended the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church. Friends will be received Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Beryl McKisic officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon.
