Thomas Ray Teter, age 70, of Buckhannon, WV went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 9, 2011 while at the United Hospital Center in Clarksburg, WV. He was born April 22, 1941 in Upshur County, a son of the late William Howard and Tina Louise Smith Teter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Sue Canfield and one brother, Robert Basil Teter. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Judy Kay Zirkle who he married on June 5, 2004. Also surviving are one daughter, Vickie Mason and husband Todd of Fincastle, VA; two step sons, Kristopher and Derick Loughlin both of Salisbury, NC; one step daughter, Sasha Smart and husband Darrell of Statesville, NC; one grandson, James Mason of Fincastle; four step grandsons, Matthew, Rory, Brennon and Aiden Smart all of Statesville; two brothers, Jerry Lee Teter and wife Teresa and Williams Charles Teter and wife LouElla all of Buckhannon and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Teter was a contractor and a Christian by faith. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and lived life to the fullest as a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Family will receive friends on Saturday, June 18, 2011 from 1-2 PM at the Faith Baptist Church in Buckhannon with a Memorial service beginning at 2 PM with the Rev. Mark Davis officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the family to help with funeral expenses. Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
