Ada Virginia Koon, age 84, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Victoria Manor in Buckhannon. She was born December 4, 1926 in Ten Mile, WV, a daughter of the late Theodore Derry and Anna Hoover Perry. On April 9, 1975 she married Hoy L. Koon who preceded her in death on March 27, 1987. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Clifford Perry; one nephew, John Carr and two nieces. She is survived by one sister, June Losey of OH; two nieces, Tenesta Bergman of OH and Tammy Hivick of OH and several great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Koon was a Methodist by faith. She and her husband Hoy owned Koon’s Restaurant, The Riveria and the Upshur Building. Her hobbies were hunting, fishing and traveling. Friends will be received Saturday, July 23, 2011 from 5-9 PM at the Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Wease L.
