Howard Louis Foglesong, age 84, of Horner, WV, died Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Holbrook’s Nursing Home in Buckhannon, WV. He was born August 13, 1926 in Point Pleasant, WV, a son of the late Charles and Marie Riffle Foglesong. On June 16, 1991 he married Alice Marie Nelson Ervine Foglesong who survives. In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter Cindy Rock and husband Tim of Buckhannon, one step son, Leigh Ervine and wife Lisa of Martinsburg, WV; one step daughter, Walda Henson and husband Burley of Springfield, MO; three grandsons, Jared , Jason and Justin Rock all of Buckhannon; one step granddaughter, Rebekah Ervine of Martinsburg; one step grandson, David Ervin of Martinsburg and one brother, Earl Ray Foglesong and wife Joyce of Gallispolis Ferry, WV. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn Roush and his first wife, Justine Foglesong who died on December 21, 1984. Mr. Foglesong was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. He was retired from Appalachian Power Company after 31 years as an Electrical Engineer in Logan, WV. He was a 4-h All Star, active and supportive of the Girl Scouts and active in the Logan Presbyterian Church for 31 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He also served in the US Army as an MP during WWII. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at the McCue Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Joseph M. Shreve officiating.
