Anna Dean Knephshield, age 90, of Elkins, WV died Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Valentine Personal Care Home, Inc. in Elkins. She was born August 30, 1921 in Pittsburgh, PA, a daughter of the late Robert and Louise Shaffer Urquhart. On May 3, 1941 she married George William Knepshield who preceded her in death on December 29, 2007. She is survived by one daughter, Dean U. Harris and husband Jim of Elkins; one son, Robert Knephshield and wife Beverly of Elizabeth, CO; three grandsons, Michale Pritchard and wife Carrie, Matthew Pritchard and wife Si Ping and Shane Knephshield; two granddaughter, Kari Bjordahl and husband Ryan and Traci Walker; four great grandsons, Avery, Jax and William Pritchard and T.J. Walker and two great granddaughters, Shayla Walker and Addie Pritchard. Mrs. Knepshield was a homemaker and a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church of Upper St. Clair of Pennsylvania. As per her request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Mountain Hospice of Belington or the Alzheimer’s Association.
