DOROTHY LEE CHANNELL Dorothy Lee Channell, 77, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 10, 2011. She was born December 19, 1933, a daughter of the late Bradford Sherman and Genevieve Lovey (McCord) Montgomery. On January 30, 1953, she married the love of her life, Eugene William Channell, who survives. Mrs. Channell is survived by six children, Gary (Norma) Channell, Kerns, Roger (Teresa) Channell, Elkins, Regina (John) McGraw, Elkins, Brenda Coffman, Belington, Linda (Roger) Hedrick, Elkins and Sherman Dale Channell, Elkins; brothers and sisters, Maude Lawyer, Vernie Farris, Ada Brown, Sandra Brown, Pam Jones, Lorinda Jones, David “Ike” Montgomery, Eugene “Belcher” Montgomery, Randy Montgomery, John Michael Montgomery and Danny Montgomery. Grandchildren include Roger Hedrick III, Jeff Hedrick, Amy Barrett, Bryan Channell, Roger Channell, Rebecca Channell, Stacie Channell, Heather Hill, Shawn Phillips, Nick Channell, Matthew Channell, Nathan Channell and great grandchldren, Jacob Barrett, Kayleigh Barrett, Racer Channell, Madison Knight, McKenzie Phillips, R. J. Hedrick, Jacob Hedrick, Olivia Hedrick and two unborn. Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were one sister, Emma Shoulders and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward and Stacy Channell. Mrs. Channell worked for the Elkins Convalescent Hospital, Memorial General Hospital and retired from the Davis Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Elkins Church of God. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 13, from the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, 385 South Main Street, Philippi. The Rev. Randall Montgomery will officiate and interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Saturday and from 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M., the funeral hour, on Sunday.
