OBITUARY: JEROME B. McCOY Jerome B. McCoy, 66, of Philippi, died Saturday morning, November 26, in the Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, following an extended illness. He was born on March 14, 1945, at Cleveland, Oh., the son of the late John B. McCoy and the late Geraldine Elizabeth (Clark) McCoy DeVault. On September 10, 1990, he married the former Norma Lea White, who survives at Philippi. Also surviving are one step-daughter, Karen Lee Robinson and husband, Michael, East Sparta, Oh.; a half-brother, Douglas DeVault, Rootstown, Oh.; two grandchildren, Jessice Dawn Robinson and Ryan Michael Robinson and a great granddaughter, Makenzie Ann Bibey. Mr. McCoy was a former Parts Man for an automobile dealership and a former Deputy Sheriff in the Carroll County (Oh.) Sheriff’s Department. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Roman Catholic Church at Philippi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 30, from St. Elizabeth Roman Catholic Church, Philippi with the Rev. James E. O’Connor, Celebrant. Interment will follow in the W.Va. National Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 until 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, 385 So. Main Street, Philippi, W.Va.
