OBITUARY: JOYCE ANN DAUGHERTY Joyce Ann Daugherty, 52, of Parkersburg, died Thursday, November 24, at her home. Her death was unexpected. She was born August 13, 1959, at Parsons a daughter of Rose Marie (McDonald) Shaver, who survives at Philippi and the late Garnett Daugherty. Also surviving are two children, Mariah Marson and Jonathon Marson, both of Chicago, Ill.; one granddaughter, Zoe Jean; two sisters, Debra Howe and fiancé, John Harshbarger, Roscoe , Ill., Karen Evix and husband, Leonard, Belington; two brothers, Raymond McDonald and wife, Debbie, Belington, Roger Lee McDonald, Pittsburgh, Penn.; four half sisters, Christine Kelley, Clarksburg, Lindy Yates and husband, Ron, Kim Faesenmeier, both of Belington and Michelle Daugherty, Berkley Springs; a special friend, Carol Tingler, Parkersburg and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jady Faith Marson; by a brother, Michael W. Daugherty and by a step-brother, John Douglas Shaver. Ms. Daugherty was a former Nurse’s Aid and Certified Nursing Assistant. She enjoyed crafting and making silk flowers. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 1, from the Schoonover – Stemple Funeral Chapel, 609 Crim Avenue, Belington. The Rev. Loren Metzner will officiate and interment will follow in the Stringtown Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Wednesday and from 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M., the funeral hour, on Thursday.
