OBITUARY: MARY BETH TALKINGTON Mary Beth Talkington, 55, of Little Hacker Creek Road, Philippi, died Friday, December 23, at her home following an extended illness. She was born August 12, 1956, at Philippi, a daughter of the late Juel Joseph and Cleopatra (Costillo) Finley. On September 25, 1981, she was married to Roger Lee Talkington, who survives at Little Hacker Creek Road, Philippi. Also surviving are one son, Roger Lee Talkington, Shinnston; twin daughters, Melissa Lee Riffle and Melinda Lee Talkington, both of Philippi; three brothers, Juel J. Finley Jr., Malvern, Oh., John Finley and Danny Lee Finley, both of Philippi; two sisters, Corliss Talkington, Philippi and Betty Parks, in Georgia; and seven grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Carl Franklin Findley. Mrs. Talkington was a homemaker. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 27, from the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, 385 South Main Street, Philippi. Pastor Bryan Headley will officiate and interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Monday and from 9:00 until 10:00 A.M., the funeral hour, on Tuesday. The Stemple & Forman Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
