OBITUARY: CURTIS W. MALONE Curtis W. Malone, 77, of Annandale, Va., died Monday morning, December 19, at his home. His death was unexpected. He was born August 20, 1934, at Philippi, a son of the late Carney B. and Lucille (Schoonover) Malone. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, the former Jeanette Alexander, Annandale; three daughters, Diana Tinsley, Chesapeake, Va., Karen Amico and husband, Bradley, Centreville, Va., Susan Joyner, and husband Robert, Manassas, Va.; one son, Brian Malone and wife, Amy, Olney, Md.; nine grandchildren, Nicole Tinsley – Zdan and husband, Jason; Benjamin Tinsley, Curtis Marco Amico, Sean Bradley Amico, Nicholas Alfonso Amico, Hana Jean Malone, Marne Malone, Katelyn Joyner and Seth Joyner; two great grandchildren, Aydin and Dominic Zdan; one brother, Jeffrey Malone and wife Judy, Martinsburg. Mr. Malone was a retired computer programmer and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. At Mr. Malone’s request, his remains were cremated. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 27, at the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, 385 South Main Street, Philippi. The Rev. Tim Bleigh will officiate and interment of the ashes will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until the 1:00 P.M. service hour. The family requests memorials in the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society. Stemple & Forman Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
