Ethel Long Judy 1914-2013 Obituary
Ethel Long Judy, age 98, a resident of Colonial Place at Elkins, departed this life Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Hospice Care Regional Inpatient Center at Elkins. Ethel was born on June 1, 1914 in Harman, WV the daughter of the late Branson Wolford and Flona Yokum Wolford. She was twice married. First on August 6, 1931 to Russell H. Long who proceeded her in death and then on May 7, 1994 she married Isaac Judy who proceeded her in death. She is survived by daughter Luceba Simmons and husband Hoye of Harman and son Dr. Harper Long and wife Sherlyn of State College, PA. Two grandchildren, Carolyn Pingley and husband John of Beverly and Kyle Long of State College, PA. Two great grandchildren, Amanda Marcum of Elkins and Shane Yokum of Jane Lew WV. Three great great grandchildren, Rhea Yokum, Kaden Marcum and Lyra Yokum. Also preceding her in death besides her parents and husband, was one sister, Mable Bowers and two brothers, Jerry and Gorman Wolford. Ethel was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting. She was a member of the Harman Ladies Auxiliary and a 50 year member of Order of the Eastern Star. In honoring Ms. Judy’s wishes she will be cremated.
